Meet the painters #1 #Jane

Hi! Some time ago we decided that we want to introduce ourselves. Or rather, we want you to know us a little closer.

"Meet the painters" starts now!

In the studio, we are a couple of people, so we will present each of us in separate parts. To be honest, I will present to you all people. I will try to be objective and quite detailed. You will find out who is responsible for what models. This allows you to recognize the painting styles of individuals painters.

At first: I introduce myself. You know me as Jane (but my real name is Joanna). My main job is to carry on marketing and social media but I am also one of the painters.

My work you know among the others: Iron Hands, Imperial Guard, Imperial Fists (in association with Paulina, Natalia and Robert) and Lizardmen army.

Soo... That's me!

See you next time,
Jane.

THE IRON HANDS SHOWCASE!

Here they are the finished Iron Hands. A real jewel in Den of Imaginations Miniature painting service gallery's. The contrast between the marines and the bases makes those models really pop. All the lens work and the plasma and the true metallic just awesome town all over it.

Iron Hands : the special guys

Here we have Sternguard accompanied by Librarian and Techmarine. Despite many details they'd look quite dark if it wasn't for contrasting whites and reds. All armour adornments were painted silver and brown, some with addittion of sephia wash.

Flashyness of plazmas here looks great :) I also like the vanguard banner freehand for nice brown-white gradient on the upper scroll.

Cheers,
Paulina.

Ferrus Manus - The Iron Man

Hi guys! Today I'd like to show you pretty Forgeworld Ferrus Manus model I recently painted. As the whole Iron Hands army he's a part of. Ferrus has really a lot of metallic surfaces. This guy was made to look better than regular soldiers so here we have lots of metallic shades: from light silver to thin black metallic through brownish silvers, browns and golds. You could say that I used almost all the true metallic paints I had at hand :P but In other words I put some effort to make this model entertaining to look at. I also really enjoyed painting his iron hands with few washes used and silver gradually changing to skin color.

Cheers,
Paulina

Iron Hands Vehicles

This army got quite a lot of vehicles:
Venerable dreadnought
Ironclad
Contemptor
3 centurions
Stormtalon
Stormraven
FW whirlwind
Razorback

All have lots of decals on them. I'm quite frond of the subtle silver lining on black surfaces. As on infantry the effect of blackmetallic armour was easy to get with somethinnedsilver drybrush, here, with many flat and angular surfaces, lining seemed like the best option. Centurions and Ironclad got some more bronze shades here and there.
What do you think?

Cheers,
Paulina
