Green as a lizard.

First update on my Salamander Project.
It's been mostly green stuff work now. Those are the few things that I managed to do lately and I  wanted to show them to you guys. Vulkan is coming pretty sweet I must say . I didn't think that he's going to be such time-consuming but hes like 80% done so I'm glad. I need to finish his left hand, flames, and the scaling on his cloak.

The 1st Rhino ready for painting.

I still have a problem with what to equip the dreadnought with. I'm thinking of 2x TL auto cannons.

Cheers.

Salamanders? Yes!

The next big project that I'm going to work on are the Space Marines Salamander Chapter!

I'm going with the traditional color scheme for them which is Lizard Greens, Ash Greys, Golds and Fiery Yellows. The whole project will be made for eBay as usual. For now I'm thinking of including two dedicated transports, a Dreadnought, two squads of Space Marines, 5 Scouts and for the HQ slot Forgefather Vulkan He'stan. The composition may be slightly changed in the progress but that's the main outline of this small army.

I hope to get a really good looking army. That's why I'll try to get at least a small conversion in every model. For the Heavy weapons I'm thinking of skinks/saurus heads attached to the barrel. The scouts are going to have lizard skin cloaks taken from Dark Elf Corsairs. For Vulkan I'm not going to use the original one. I'll try my best and do one myself from bits and green stuff. The only problem for me is how to pose him. Making a HQ such as The Forgefather gives me an opportunity to make him look really dynamical. If you have any good ideas for this, feel free to drop a comment.

Wish me luck,

Manfred's Coven Throne

Manfred's Coven Throne is done.

It was a big piece but finally I finished it. I will never make another Coven Throne on my own unless some one will give me a commission for it. I am really happy with the outcome. It turned out much better then the first one. This mini was the first that I tested my new airbrush on while painting the spirit swarm. Ghosts look more ethereal now. The freehand turned out alright imo. The thing I like the most is the blood cauldron, specially the Vargheist head that I used for decorative purposes.

So much blood ;p

Necron Overlord

Hello!
I have finished the Necron Overlord. He was a really nice piece to make. Especially I had a lot of fun with the base. It was the first time I had made such a display board for a mini and I learned a few things. For starters, I have noticed that making display boards is really cool and makes your mini look very awesome! :D And I tried a new technique with the rocks. I have airbrushed the whole base with Bestial Brown, fallowed that with a coat of Tausept Ochre but with the second coat I tried to brush only from the top to leave the bestial brown still visible at the darkest parts of the rocks hidden from the sun. I finished up with Bleached Bone dry brush.

The idea for the model came partly from Necron codex image. Then it evolved in my head. The thing you see is the result of that.

A really cool feature about this guy is his Resurrection Orb because it's magnetized bzzzt.. You can take it off him if you want. I think that this is really nice when it comes to gaming.
Don't forget to rate him on CmoN.

Big Bad Overlord

I just wanted to show you a bit of a Necron Overlord that I'm working on. You can't have a Royal Court without a proper Overlord, can you? :>.

He has a resurrection orb magnetized on his left shoulder. I think it's a nice feature because you don't always include the RO in your army list.

Also The Royal Court is almost done. I gave one of them a holographic shielding that he activates from his wrist gear. The thing sticking to the ground is representing an electric charge. If I was painting it, I would go with an electric like blue for the whole shield. Generally, I think the RC turned out great. It was a lot of fun putting those guys together.

The dead shall carry my things (WIP)

Had some time to sit down with the necromancer project from February don't know if you remember him. He's beginning to look quite well but I don't know if it's going to be enough. I plan to make him my best piece of work till now. I'm going for a more dark feel with him and the whole display. But I still hesitate if I should give more color to the whole model. Some green lights or a freehand on the robe. I don't know. Maybe You have some good ideas? For now I think that the skull is a real jewel in this one. It doesn't shine but it gives a lot of character to the whole project. We shall see how the rest will turn out. Stay tuned.

Female C'tan Finished

Took more time then I suspected. But finally here she is in all her glory. The wings were a real hard job but the rest went smoothly. The thing that I like the most are the mechanical whip coils sticking out from under the robe. I received an awesome suggestion from the client to add some more at the front moving more dynamically. It gave more life to the model. Now will have to wait for an update from him after he paints her. Good luck with that mate. It's been a pleasure working for you.

She's packed and ready to go.

I end this post with 2 guys from The Royal Court. Bye bye
