This is one of the coolest Saly army I personally have every seen one of the first projects that Robert was working on in the Studio. Under the command of Miss Freehand they did a fantastic job.

Salamanders: Vehicles

Here's the last post from this project : 3 storm talons, 3 drop pods, land raider and aegis defense line. There was a lot of work with shading flyers but the effect is quite pleasing.

I guess the most spectacular part here are drop pod's and land raider's flames. Even with stencil the outlines are rather blurred but here it works for the benefit of it - the shape merges with red glow. Tank's flames are the wildest, even with the same stencil they look so much different.

Salamanders: Vanguard

Hi there! Here we have 10 veterans in two squads of 5 : some with more spellcrow bits and some with nicely painted robes. One guy from the more lizard-like looking group had his loincloth painted in scales, I wonder if you'd see which one is it :P

The lava pattern on five black loincloths is quite similar to freehands the captain of the infantry and librarian got.
The black faces weren't really a good material for dandy painting, sadly. But I guess it doesn't do any harm as many other details look really cool. Look at those lenses or burning legs, for example.
As for the spellcrow bits, here we have shoulder pads, loincloths and torsos, also four guys have those weapons of unusual shape, some even decorated with salamander head.

Salamanders: Infantry

Another flashy army in our portfolio! This time lots of greens and oranges. The project is a continuation of older commission from one of our customers, also a bit of a challenge to make a better salamanders than Dariusz did some time ago. I wonder if we made it :P
Here we have 30 space marines in 3 squads, all equipped with cool looking scale elements from Spellcrow bits. The salamander head freehands are Robert's work, really nice ones I must say :)

Another part of this group would be the captain, libra and tech marine with thunderfire cannon.
The captain looks really special here with power sword and nicely freehanded cape. At first it started off as some ashed scale cape but lava seems to be much better idea.

Libra also got some similar pattern on his robe.

The flame on the cannon is a nice addition giving additional contrast to green/silver color scheme.

There's a lot of cool salamander stuff coming in future posts so stay tuned !
