Gauntlet of Flame

      I started with the scouts and there's a problem. Need help! What color should I paint the pants? I was thinking of grey but don't know if it's going to look cool. If you have some time, it would be nice if you give me a suggestion. Generally, I'm really happy with those models. They look quite original and have a nice salamander aspect. Especially the Serg is the crown jewel of the unit, with all his war gear. It will be a pleasure to paint them.

Bearers of The Flame

     Another five guys done. I'm getting there. I didn't paint any flames on the legs because I want to have a difference between both squads. Also I did a freehand on the flamer's head. There is no way that you won't notice where the special weapon in your squad is. I'm quite happy with the flames on his face. The Sergeant wasn't forgotten as well and he has some lizard scales painted on his Power Fist. Another five guys and I'm done with the tacticals. After that I'll get my hands on scouts or transports. How do you like them ? ^^

Pimp my rhino

     I finished the preshading on the transports. Now they are ready for some brush action. I was thinking of all the weathering I need to do and it occurred to me that rain is not a common thing on Nocturne. So now I'm thinking I would have to do some heat corrosion from the lava and great temperatures. For the life of mine I couldn't think of a way how to paint such a thing. So I went straight to Google, uncle Google knows all. I found some notes of  what high temperature corrosion really is and what it looks like. It's this first picture, after seeing this I thought that it wouldn't look nice on the vehicle.

    The final conclusion is that I will just go with ordinary scratches and dirty, ash-grey stains because it always looks quite well.

Protectors of Nocturne

     I present to you finished 1st squad of my Salamander Marines. Those guys have been a pleasure to paint. Still have ten more so got some more painting goodness ahead of me. I feel that this army will present itself really well on the table. I hope I will manage to sell it all in one piece. It would be a shame to see it spread out squad by squad around the world. Anyway, if you are interested in this project right now and want to make it your own you can give me a shout and we'll talk :). Flaming pants

      Still a lot to be done on these guys but I just wanted to give you a second glance on how I'm going to paint my troops. The 1st squad of  five space marines with a Sergeant will accompany Vulkan in a Razorback. I wanted to give them something extra. That's why they have flames on their legs. The rest will only have this feature on their right shoulders. I still need to add salamander symbol on the left ones, finish up eyes, purity seals and a bunch of other stuff. This project will consume more time that I expected but I'll do my best to have it done as soon as possible.

Don't step on the lava

      So I've started painting Salamanders and I'm happy with my results so far. I'm really excited about how it's going to turn out as a whole. For now I've got a dreadnought work in progress photo for you but he's almost done. I still need to add weathering and paint the weapons of course. Anyway you can see the color scheme and get a general feel where I'm going with this project. Dragon's flu

      Hey, not much today but got Isabella ready for primming and I also did some sculpting on the rhino. Can't wait to paint these two things ^^. I'll get to it probably tomorrow.

     For Isabella I switched her dagger for a short sword and I added four tormented souls summoned by our Lady of the Night. My client has his army themed mostly around ethereal creatures so I wanted to give her an aspect of that as well.

     As for the rhino I decorated side doors with one of the salamander chapter's symbol. It turned out quite nice in comparison to the original. The bigger pair of horns is a bit too big but I think it's OK. Certainly, you won't mistake it for a chaos symbol or anything else. At this point the symbol looks like a Dragon's head with a bad case of flu xD. I'll do a comparison photo when I finish painting the symbol.
