Skull be cracking

     So I started to paint up Ambroz. Just finished the skull and the shield. Everything else is work in progress. The wains on his wings will look excellent when painted as lightnings. It will appear that the Daemon is lightning enchanted. After this one I'm going to be working on an Orc Officer ymmmWarboss for 40k. It's going to be a conversion of an Orc SS man officer. I think that it's going to be a cool thing to make.

     There were some people complaining about no no texture on the back side of the shield so I painted a little something something on it to erase that problem. I hope you like!

Daemonic Vigor

  Finally I finished this monstrosity. There may be few things to tweak but as far as I'm concerned he's ready to be painted. I just need to get a green light and I'll go crazy on this one.

    Man, what a green stuff frenzy it has been. I think that I used up more green stuff on this one then I did on the Nurgle Daemon Prince. All the heads everywhere and skulls. This one is filled with detail all over. I am really glad how the shield turned out. The goal behind it was to represent evil spirits trapped in the shield trying to break out. I give you lot of photos to browse throw so feel free to leave a comment about this guy.

     There will be a different set of hands without the spear and shield but I'll do that later. I just couldn't wait to get him done and start painting. He will have black fur and a dark grey mane. Head will be old bone color, wings will be bloody read so when looking at him from the front his head and wings will form the Night Lord symbol which I think is really cool. The spear will be blazing with reddish flame. I plan to paint all of his spikes, horns etc in bright colors and give them some lightning properties like there are places where lightning is coming out of him. Thunder is really common in night lords iconography so they might look really awesome. I'm thinking of giving his eye sockets some glow, red or dark purple maybe, what do you think?

BTW, in my local gaming center me and Arbal from Coloured Dust will be making a speed painting competition so expect a review in the end of the month. If you know polish you can check it out.

Hussar 2012

    Two days ago I participated in a miniature contest event that took place in Warsaw. It was really awesome. I met a lot of cool people like Karol Rudyk, this year's UK Slayer Sword winner, C'tan from Fantasygames, Camelson, Ana painting mum, Bohun, Flameone, Zaphod Beedlebrox from masterminis, Loler, Lan and many more great painters. Sorry if I didn't mention everyone but there were a lot of you guys.

    You can find some really nice photos at Zaphod's blog and a nice report made by him over here!  He is a really nice guy and be sure to check out his giveaways, you can win some cool minis as well.

    The winner was Nakatan From Russia with his "Last Mistake of Sergeant Joe".

Iron, Lion, Zion, Night Lord?

     Still on that Night Lord, but I have to say he is turning out really great. I finished hair, attached the left hand. His spine has got some spikes now and I started working on his tails. He will have two sets of hands magnetized. First set will be the spear and shield like the ones Terminator Lord has. The second set will be pure claws. I plan on making them look really cool. Hope I'll manage to finish this big fela soon. I just can't wait to splash some paint on him.

     Other than that Hussar 2012 is coming so I'm excited about that. Probably I will enter some minis just for fun but I'm going more for the event. If anyone who reads this blog is going, let me know, I would love to meet up and say Hi!

     The client requested that I add few dreadlocks to his mane. Besides, giving the model an extra cool look  helped me to decide what music to listen to while converting/sculpting So I played some Bob Marley on YouTube.

The Night is coming

     Hey finally got some time to write a post. I did some progress on the Night Lords DP, oh I can't wait to paint this bad boy up. He's going to be a really big beast. I made the Night Lords symbol on his chest.

Mercenary Fleet

    Don't know if you missed it or not but Bania from Minion Studio made an awesome OP Necron Fleet army. He took it for a two-day tournament in Gdansk and managed to get 6th place and receive the Players Choice award for the best looking army at the whole tournament.

     Bania is deep under my wing this time and we are working on new armies for ourselves so that means the Fleet is ready to go and wreak havoc in another dimension, yes that means it's on eBay waiting for you to pick it up.      The Flier fever is continuing as the 6th edition of wh40k is beginning to be very well understood by more people. In order to stay in the top of our game we must board the ship.

Gaze of Terror

     Remember the the mysterious pile of bits that I showed you guys some time ago. Well now I have all the pieces I need and I can start working on that project. 

     Since no one actually got it 100%  right I'll tel you what it's going to be. Nightlord Daemon Prince. Yup it was a hard one but now you know. It's going to have a Lion aspect going on around it which I think is kind of cool. The Daemon will be based on a Terminator that I made some time agoe. The client wants to have a DP that will emerge from this guy so I have to make some resemblance to the model. I'm going to show this by giving him a spear and a shield similar to the ones on the Terminator but more Daemonic.

     The photos show a very early stage of building this monster up. There is still much work needed to be done. I'm particularly excited about the lion main that I'm going to sculpt around this enormous skull. I need to fill all the wood elves symbols first. Now he looks pretty much like a Manticore but I'm going to turn him into a big bad Daemon Prince Stay tuned.

Death Wing? Hell Yeah!

     Due to the Dark Vengeance release I took some time to start a new project that has been going around my head for quite some time now. Dark Angel Death Wing army for myself. Oh yes bunch of guys with 2+ As and a 3+ Is from storm shields. I plan on getting 10 Termies from the DV set and some more from different kits. I have already made my Leader Belial from a Grey Knight Paladin. I'm still thinking of covering the lettering on his armor and giving him more Dark Angel iconography but he is pretty much done, also those hands are magnetized. With his Initiative of 5 those Claws make for a really good CC weapon for him but he loses his survival-ability without a Storm Shield so I will add those hands for option as well.

     This army isn't so big in number and that allows to give it a little extra effort and make it look sweet. For a start I'm going to do 20-25 Termies + Belial and a Chaplain also in Terminator armor. It's going to be awesome.

PS: any ideas on what I could add to the Belial model to make him look more awesome ?
